Denae Budde is a California native with more than 25 years of experience serving her client’s legal needs in real estate, business and insurance coverage. Denae assists clients in real estate and business matters handling both clients’ transactions and efficiently resolving any litigation matter. Denae has tried over fifty cases to verdict. She holds the AV “Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Denae has been named one of Northern California’s ″Super Lawyers″ for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Denae’s extensive trial experience, uniquely equips her in drafting documents because she can assess how agreements will be evaluated and handled in a dispute. Denae’s trial experience assists her in counseling clients in litigation matters. Denae attempts to provide clear and concise objective counsel to her clients along with advising the potential cost and consequences of certain decisions. Whether negotiating and drafting real estate agreements from acquisition documents, financing documents, leases or CC&Rs, Denae evaluates the client’s goals and provides the most cost-effective options. In handling business matters, from forming an entity or drafting or reviewing business agreements, Denae focuses on her client’s goals. Clients not only rely on Denae for their transactional and litigation needs, but also seek her advice as outside general counsel.
Denae is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association including the real estate, business and women’s sections. She has served on the Board of Directors for CCCBA, has been an Affiliate Governor on the Board of California Women Lawyers and is a Past President of the Contra Costa County Women’s Section. Denae has been a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Insurance Law Committee and Women in the Law Committee. She is on the board of the Contra Costa County chapter of the Robert G. McGrath Inn of Court. Denae graduated from the Santa Clara University Law School and was a Comments Editor of the Computer and High Technology Law Journal. After earning her master’s in education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), she taught elementary school before attending law school. Denae also received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
Denae has been a presenter on real estate and business matters as well as having authored articles on those subjects. Most recently she presented on “Leasing Pitfalls” and “What’s Your Fiduciary Duty- A Comparison of Partnerships, LLCs, Corporations and Board Members.” She is an editor for Continuing Education of the bar (″CEB″.)
When not working, Denae can be found bare boat sailing and scuba-diving with her husband.
